10X10 Cites

The 10X10 Cities was an exhibit which addressed sustainability within the urban context. The exhibit was launched during the AIA National Convention held in San Francisco, April 2009. The exhibit was composed of three components:

The Urban Sustainability Matrix - Compared 10 cities across the United States by analyzing metrics such as water consumption and population density.
Exemplary Case Studies - Presented sustainable architecture project in same 10 cities.
Imagined Futures Bus Shelter Campaign - Info graphics to illustrate the current problem paired with a sketch of an imagined sustainable future.

The 'Futures' had a double life as a component in the exhibit and as a series of bus shelter posters across the city. Each of the posters address a tenant of San Francisco's Climate Action Plan.

My involvement in the 10X10 exhibit began in concept development of the 'Futures' poster. I continued the following semester as project leader of the "Futures' design and production team. In May of 2009 I was awarded the AIA Emerging Leaders scholarship in recognition of my work on the project.
